I've just had a new dedicated server set up and I decided that along with my new site I'm going to run a comms server, Ventrilo in this case.
On the web side the server will be running plesk (for Linux), this has a bandwidth monitor built in but I assume that is will only be able to monitor http, mail bandwidth, not the band width that ventrilo uses, different user.
How do I monitor bandwidth in linux, I'm a bit of a noob with *nix, I can SSH in and set up simple apps like Ventrillo and teamspeak, alter php.ini etc but other then that I know very little.
