No, It's real: It's the host of my Virtual Environment @ Work...it normally supports about 40-50 Virtual Machines.

The unit is an ES unit from Intel: it's a server obviously, which I why I added the CPU-Z shots in there; so you could see what kind of a server it is.

I'm still using my old XP 2400+, so only 1 CPU, 1 core

Yeah, I know that I should feel ashamed

I will probably be building a new system in ~May. School will be done and I'll have a paycheck or two from working.
It will probably look something like this:
        Q9450 or Q9550 (2.66 or 2.83 quad)
        2x2GB DDRx(ddr2 or 3 depending on price)
        ASUS mobo w/ X38 or X48
        NV 9800GTX
        Q9450 + TRUE, G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2, GTX 560, ASUS X48, 1TB WD Black, Windows 7 64-bit, LG M2762D-PM 27" + 17" LG 1752TX, Corsair HX620, Antec P182, Logitech G5 (Blue)
        Laptop: MSI Wind - Black

I cheated and picked a dual core CPU, as I'm going to buy an E8400 on its impending release. I do have an E6600 in my HTPC though, so that can be my main one.

How is everyone finding their quad cores? Video editing is the only task I do that I think would benefit from them, so I'm happier with a higher clock and two cores (for PS, general work and games).

I love Supreme Commander, so quadcore is a must
I'm restricted to playing VERY small maps with only 2-3 AI tops right now. And if I don't finish the game in <45min its not worth finishing, just runs too slow (its about 5-8 seconds real time to do 1 second of game time).
