MEDIA STUDIO 8 vs VIDEO STUDIO PRO3

I have MSP8 and have used it for over 4 years i think it is a brilliant editor however now i am currently having problems with transitions in so much that not all the transitions are smooth, can anyone tell me what the problem could be.

If i cant fix this problem i may get videostudio pro x3 can anyone tell me how videostudio compares with MSP 8?
