I figured this is the safest place to ask. I have the G400 OEM. It seems that when installing Quake II, if I don't reboot each time after installing Q2, 3.20 patch and idgamma, I get the wonderful BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) when I try to change the video driver in Q2 from software to OpenGL.
Beyond this minor glitch, the G400 runs nicely. Haven't found any major software conflicts (only one is that it won't run Apple QuickTime 16bit, which most new 2D/3D cards won't either).
