Ok, got my OEM G400, 16MB, 'cause I couldn't wait till God knows when for the MAX. I am singularly impressed with the visual quality, my desktop hasn't looked that good in ages! I had no probs with setting up PD 5.13, and everything runs fine, EXCEPT Aliens Vs Predator, but I have a post on that in the Gaming forum. Half-life for example, worked fine in both D3D, and OpenGl, and looked much the same in both. Quake3 looked just unbelevable, running at 1024X768, 32 Bit with all the features enabled. Unreal ran in D3D at a respectable rate, and when 2.26 comes out, it'll be even faster! (1280, here we come!). When the MAX finally gets shipped, I'll consider upgrading, but first I'll test overclocking the beast with pstrip. I'll post the results seperately when I have some figures to give you. If it overclocks well, I may get a P!!! 500 instead of a MAX. (Or maybe a K7, although that would require a new motherboard!). Wioth my El Cheapo Mirage 17" monitor, I guess a MAX isn't really necessary anyway.
