DVD what DVD?

When I insert a DVD the Matrox player starts, but does not play the disc, eject button does not work etc, does somebody know how to fix this? My Windows does not have irq conflicts, but my G400 shares his irq with my network card, removing networkcard does not solve the problem...

I use AMD-K6-II 300Mhz (3d now), 64MB Ram, Windows 98, DVD-133 Pioneer (Atapi), Matrox G400 - 32mb Ram, ...
