Prob wif G400 dual

just upgraded to matrox G400 max but encountered major problem
couldn't see the windows screen after installing the driver ...
my sys is MSI 5169 mb , AMD-K6-3 400 mhz
64 RAM .. the mb chipset is ALI ..is it compatible wif matrox?
if my AGP is running at 1 times ..can matrox run on it?
