Trouble disabling sidebanding on G400MAX

I've tried a number of utilities to disable sidebanding: DirectX7, Powerstrip, registry hacks...
but PCIList still reports that sidebanding is enabled.
I have a G400MAX running on a BE6-II mobo.
Does anyone have any ideas?
