Driver cocktails
OK, now I know this concept will annoy some people, so I apologise in advance to them, but I want to ask:
Which of the driver files for a G400 are specifically DX and which are OGL ? Or are the two inseparably linked ?
The reason I ask is that for me, the fastest Q3 combination by some margin is 5.30+TGL, but the other game I play regularly, SS2, seems smoother with the new DX7 optimised 5.52 drivers. So, ideally, I want the best of both worlds. The 5.30 ICD works OK with the 5.52 drivers, but using the TGL then hangs the system.
So, is that it ? Will it just not work, or are there other OGL-related files I need to use from the 5.30 set, or registry settings to tweak ?
