w2k vid tools wont go away

Shortly after 5.14 came out for w2k, i decided i needed the video tools, so i downgraded to 5.06 and got installed the video tools. At that point, i was unable to use any drivers other than 5.06 even after i uninstalled the vid tools made for 5.06. I decided to wait until the next vid tools came out to bother worrying anymore. Well, they cam eout and no matter what i do and in what order, i cant get any drivers other than 5.06 to work. The interesting thing is this: If i do an uninstall in device manager, then reboot with out a driver installed, it will work on the next boot when it promts for a driver. it works immediately, then, however, if it is not 5.06, it wont work after i reboot again. I've tried all the different methods of uninstalling the drivers and nothing seems to work. If anyone can help, or has had this problem, pls help. thanks
