DVDMax with Interlaced Monitor?

I have got a really old monitor with 1024*768 interlaced. 43 Hz. I tried to run DVDMax when running interlaced. No screen on the tv. When running clone it will show the screen on the tv. When running 640*480 noninterlaced both DVDMax and clone will work. Is there a way to make this work or is it not supported at all?
