Weird mouse movement, Q3 and CS

hey, I am running Q3 on win2k pro with a microsoft optical intellimouse. I have noticed since I switched to 2k, sometimes my mouse will get screwed up and I can't stop moving forward (mouse1), if I hit backpedal (mouse2), it just stops me, if I let go, I continue forward. Anyone encounter similar probs with their ms mice in win2k? I have tried the latest intellimouse drivers (3.1) and this did not fix it. I have also tried a different mouse (logitech mouseman) and it does the same thing in both games. Any info on what could be causing this will be appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: Also, I am running these games with a Matrox G400 Max powerdesk version 6.04.26...don't know if this would have anything to do with it or not...
