Background:
I know, I know - I should not have done so but its too late. I've been trying get a different video card to work in my K6-2 unit and finally had success this past weekend and thus freeing the G400.
So the G400 goes back into my Abit BH6 Celeron 466 Unit- taking out the savage4, only to find that (after what I *think* was a complete remove of the previous video card's drivers) installing PowerDesk 5.52 makes my OpenGL skip.
Problem:
DirectX is fine and dany (smooth like ice), BUT OpenGL in Q3 "skips/pauses" almost every other second in the intro screen. NO TurboGL installed, cause I've benched it and found it slower than the regular ICD.
I've been through the registry, the Q3 directory (even deleting the .cfg file), reinstalled powerdesk 5.52 (used the remove utility first) all to no avail.
Question:
Can anyone make a suggestion as to what I can do that might fix the problem (other than reinstalling Windows)?
Thanks in advance guys!
