AoK & Win2K
I've been using Win2K ever since beta3 and don't have any plans to go back to Win9X/ME because it's so much more stable, so I hope you can all help me.
While I'm not a hardcore gamer,I do like to play games. I currently play UT, AoK, Half-Life, IceWind Dale, and soon Diablo II.
Everything has always run pretty well in Win2K including the Diablo II stress test, so I hope the final is fine. Lately I've tried installing the 5.10 & 5.11 drivers because I've heard they're faster and I'd like to put off buying a new video card until the G800 comes out this fall. Whenever I try to play AoK with the new drivers I just get a black screen with garbage on it. 5.10 & 5.11 do it. 5.04 works fine though.
Am I missing out on that much in UT/Half-Life by not running the new drivers?
Does anyone know of any work arounds or command line switches for me to get AoK working fine with the new drivers?
Any help would be appreciated.
