Hi,
up until now I was using PD 5.52 + TurboGL, with Half-Life
and Quake3 running flawlessly. Elite Force had some glitches,
but nothing serious. So I decided to uninstall with pd_unin
and try PD 6.10, apparently not a good move. The release
notes state that "When Using OpenGL in HL CS, the menus will
over lap and you will get corruption on the screen." A very
accurate description. I didn't even try CS yet, it happens in
normal HL as well. A distorted version of the last menu stays on
screen and HL crashes when I press ESC to return to the menu.
Sometimes even with sound looping.
Needless to say I'm not too thrilled with the quality of this
release. Other OpenGL games have no problems, so I don't want
to keep using old drivers just for HL. Is there a workaround
for this problem ?
