Hello forum,
Sorry if this question has been posted before, but if so I have not been able to find it. After all, previuos answers become obsolete as drivers matures, so here goes:
I currently run Win98SE and consider upgrading to W2K Prof, to make more efficient use of my memory. I use the computer for web-surfing and office-applications, and especially games. At the moment I primarily play Counter-Strike on web and Soldier of Fortune, but hopefully I will have more and newer games installed later.
My question is: Will I experience a drop in framerates in games if I go with W2K?? I know other companies like Nvidia and 3dfx has been able to make their drivers just as good - or even better - in W2K. How about Matrox??
