G-450 16MB sd Card and MM2

A friend of mine has a g-450 16 MB SD card. There are major problems in running Motocross Madness 2 correct on his computer. It is impossible to choose 3d render (only software). You can see the "choosing" box for a second but you cannot change the value. The textures are all corrupted except for a few maps.
Has anyone experience a similar problem?
Does anyone know how to fix this?

The latest BIOS, drivers etc are, of course, installed
