I´m new to this forum but after having some problems with G200 I decided to register.
As the title says I´m experiencing troubles with the game NHL 99. The game perfornance is
slow or choppy. Sometimes in the game my controls become "paralysed" and when I try to push the keyboard buttons the computer loudspeaker squeals and nothing happens. Occasionally the ice flashes and its colour changes into slightly pink. And also the players seem to go through each other!
After rounds I get "after images" on the screen like the text of name of a player or an invisible puck gliding on the ice. In the game replay some players "tremble".
I have installed the most parts of the game on hard disk and I have also installed the 1.4 Mb patch (the only one).
Both the game and the video card are from the year 1998 so they should work well together. Isn´t my processor powerful enough?
Which are the most reliable drivers and BIOS for the card when it comes to gaming?
Here is my configuration:
ASUS P3B-F ACPI BIOS Rev. 1005
Intel Pentium 2 266 MHz
128 MB
SB PCI 128
OS: Win 98 SE
DirectX 7.0a
Matrox Millenium G200 AGP 8 MB SGRAM
Graphics BIOS: 2.7-23
Display diver: 4.12.01.2640(2.64.029)
Mini-VDD: 4.12.01.2640 (2.64.029)
Matrox PowerDesk: 6.14.051
DirectDraw/Direct3d driver: 4.12.01.2640 (2.64.029)
Microsotf DirectX 4.07.00.0700
Thanks for help
