Couldn't you just put the TFT's where your current monitor is? Why would you get a painful neck and overheated TFT's?
Suppose I could chuck the rest of the stuff on the floor.
At the moment for me it's not feasable but who knows what the future holds.

Same idea but not with 3 monitors built in to one but with on large widscreen monitor!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

Yup playing on 3 CRT's would definitely be kick ass but just as long as the image doesn't look all unnaturally streched out I hate that.

Doesn't have to be 3 monitors. Get a single monitor with extreme widescreen

Say 6:3, or 8:3 ratio. 3 separate monitors bring additional problems such as power points and cabling. Having wider CRTs would be just as nice

I would like it to be the future of gaming... but i doubt everyone will have it in five years time. 3 screen games are great in the arcades, but you only see the odd cabinet around that uses it.

not everyone had surround sound, but slowly its gaining acceptance both in homes and in the game industy where its rare to find a big game release now that doesnt have surround sound.

Giving the cost involved in setting up a home system with 3 monitors i guess its still only people who take there gaming experience seriously (or are obsessed like me) who will pursue it. The best we can hope for is that matox work with all the big releases so that they support 3xscreens. Which they seem to be doing,

Next month alone im buying toca racing driver, bloodrayne and Unreal 2 all of which support surround gaming -im assuming unreal will-

The toca article on most gaming sites was good because it linked to there announcement to support surround gaming as well as screenshots, im sure getting it out there into public awareness can only be a good thing

all they need to do now is get doom 3 signed up

I haven't tried Surround Gaming yet, but I still voted YES!

I'm about to get my third monitor in few weeks and I just finished rearrangement of my desktop. Now there is a nice place for that extra monitor.

Pace has it right here. The natural evolution of gaming is surround but that also extends to ultra wide screen monitors some day not to far off... and certainly boast 3D visuals.

Personally wouldn't mind replacing three 21"'s for a single 38" wide screen boasting something like 9600x2400 (.1dp) sitting on my desk's monitor shelf
