Screen corruption on MechWarrior 3 and G400

I thought maybe the dang card was overheating...but apparently not the case. After about 5 minutes of playing, I'm getting squares (about 1 inch square) full of black and white rectangles popping up on the screen. This is the only game that has this problem, and it works fine on my V2...so anyone have any ideas?
