Nah, I am currently on 2000, and it is only a few months old installwise I never really let my Window installs grind themselves into the ground.

Skinned apps are not slow or anything on my system, they just don't feel quite as fast as applications that use native widgets.

To Dave: Yep, I have eaten my hat on the matrox Parhellia issue. They did do a pretty good job, not as nice as I would like, but still an excellent job. I am looking forward to playing Black and White and Neverwinter nights on Parhellia (when I can afford it)

To Wombat: I hate most gtk skins more than I hate most windows app skins Not only are most of them slow, but most of them also consume too much screen space on every window, rather than the single window in windows.

To Electric Amish: Agghhhhh, Mozilla. Now that is the worst example of a good skinned application that I can think of. It makes WMP 7.1 look positively good in comparison. Not only is mozilla ugly and slow, it doesn't even interface with the rest of windows correctly.

High Jumbllama: The fact that I understand what you are saying there is highly disurbing *shudder*

To others who think I am ranting too much over skinnable apps, this is the soap box, and I felt like getting on my soapbox and ranting
