Delay post notifications?

Just a thought, if the emailed notifications of posts to subscribed threads could be delayed, even by a minute, it would mean that all of those last minute typo fixes, and words taken back, would be sorted before it arrives in your inbox.

I know I often have to fix a typo or add a thought, which may well influence how/if some one responds.

Is it possible to introduce a short delay? Any thoughts?
