This time to Scarbourgh. Nice cross country run this. Unfortunatly everyone else now seems to have discovered this route so the days of driving past 1/2 mail of Caravans in one go has now gone. Plus the fact I now have a considerably slower car.
The new sea defense may look a mess but I'll wait until they're finnished before I decide whether the locals are right or not. One problem the planers haven't thought about. Safety. The new defenses seem to based on piling large amout of rocks in front of the old sea wall. Now since some the waves can send spray over 100- 200 foot cliffs on a moderatly stormy day I can see quite a few kids climbing on these rocks and getting swept off by a large wave.
The weather was supposed to be cold. When I got there it was cloudy then it rained a little and got colder and I thought Oh Oh but then sun came out and it was lovely for two to three hours before clouding over again.
The motorways were again quite.
