Worst Drivers?

My chinese girlfriend would actually agree with gurm on this one. She's quite a good driver, but she knows she's an exception. The biggest problem is the recent immigrants. Particularly those from hong kong. Very few people can afford to drive over there, so most don't. When they sell their property and move over here, they suddenly have enough money to buy some really nice vehicles. When you factor in how easy it is to get a drivers license on this continent (or worse, an instructors license ) you get lots of timid panicky unpredictible people on our roads. Oh well, at least their kids seem to drive fairly well, as long as they grow up over here...

In Montreal the drivers are aggressive but do have some driver skills. I recently went to Toronto and I have to say without a word of doubt, they have the most ignorant unskilled lot of drivers that I have seen anywhere in the world, yes this includes Korea. This is why Toronto has a very good transit system, you you have to be an idiot to attempt to drive there, Montreal drivers HA!

Yeah seems like some Chinese drivers are really bad. I live in Chinatown and my dad swears at the other drivers here all the time while we're in the car

Don't know what it is in the UK but the driving standards are getting worst. People are just getting idle and ignornant.

Lets just park across the junction. I need a paper I'll double park doesn't matter if theres a empty space a few yards on.
I'm in the left lane but I want to turn right at the roundabout so I'll cut across everyone on the roundabout.

The most aggressive and aggravating drivers I've come across are the average drivers in the Washington DC area. SUVs and German cars, particularly.

Oh yeah? Well... well... ok, you're right Most of the drivers here do suck. It's very aggravating. The problem is, Toronto doesn't have a very good transit system. In fact, it's awful, even compared to Montreal. Therefore, we have very many awful drivers on the road at all times. Packed in like chickens (sorry byock), going 2mph, while the ****ats are cutting in and out of merge lanes trying to get another 4 cars ahead. Bah, maybe I'll move to the Yukon or something

See, some of my old friends and I have always driven Volvos. And we have discovered, over the course of time, that piss-poor Volkswagon drivers are drawn to Volvos like drunks to happy hour. (And they drive about as well as the drunks, too!)

There is no logical explanation. But when in the Volvo, I get cut off (or other horrifyingly bad automotive behavior/driving) by VW's a HUGELY disproportionate amount of the time.

In one single drive from one part of Boston to the other one day, I was cut off no less than 5 times by DIFFERENT VW's.

It's bizarre, and unexplainable. And my friend Andy didn't believe us, until he got a used Volvo 240 and that very same day began being the target of the poor driving of VW owners.

OTOH, maybe it's got something with "volvo owners community"? (here is something like that - I'm not talking about some actual community but rather about two volvos pasing on the road - not sure if you know what I'm talking about). Maybe there's also some "anti volvo owners community" there?
