There needs to be a "I used to play it alot, but got tired of running up to someone, empting an entire 50 round clip from my SMG at point blank range, and then having them turn around and kill me with a single shot with a glock" option.
I guess I was somewhat proficent at the game, seeing as I was banned from a couple servers for cheating when I wasn't. My favorite complaint was "How did you know I was there?!?" when they're hiding in a normal hiding spot that is commonly used. They wouldn't accept that I was just assuming there was somebody there, they'd take it personally and think I knew they were hiding in that spot.Last edited by Jon P. I last played a few months back. Most of the cheaters had gone... but there was always one person who could get headshots through walls with his AWP

I like it - and now play regularly (actually I didnt play for a year or so)...
I get a bit pissed with 'headshot heaven' on some of the maps, but with cheating death and whatnot I think most of the cheaters have moved on....
I must say though I have little patience with camping I tend to get bored with that.... thouth there are still so many servers around that you can jump about a bit.
I guess if the rounds are that leathal, you might camp in reality yourself....

I love CS(that's what us CS'ers call it) and have been playing it on and off for the last 3 years. Though I must admit that as of late the game is getting a little tiresome mainly due to the amount of hackers and crap netcode.
Hackers are more prominent in 1.6, as there are very few servers using cheating-death which is really the only anti-cheat tool of any worth. Plus that and the shit net code that means you can miss people at point blank but hit them when they are in the completely different direction to what you are firing.
I mean for most this would be enough to give up playing CS, but I dont feel that any other FPS or game for that matter has really captured the team work aspect as well as CS. It's like a game of chess where teams are trying to think of better tactics to better the other(I'm referring to clan wars in this instance and not public play) which I feel is lost in games like Quake and Unreal.
Plus the community is absolutely massive, and I mean that in every sense of the word with 100's of new clans starting and folding every day. I only hope that they fix these annoying niggles by the CS 2 and we will have a mighty GAME INDEED !!
