This is the first PC I remember playing with. It's amazing the hours of fun you can have with BASIC and 16k of RAM when you don't know any better.

btw, I used a book that came with this thing to program a variant of Colossal Cave Adventure. I originally played that game at college on the unix console in my dorm (1980.. when that was the only computer in a dorm of 600+ students at one of the country's top ten universities. Hard to imagine we were this primitive so recently, eh?

1979... Those days Commodore was raising it's ugly head.

My first touch to computers might have been Commodore 64 running Rally Speedway... I think it happened somewhere in 1982 or 1983. My own first computer was (suprsingly) Commodore 64, which I got in 1989. after that, in january 1993, I took a giant leap to 486sx25MHz with whopping 4MB Ram, 120MB HDD and Sound Blaster 16. After that, it has been more or less just evolution, instead of revolution.

and oh... I am still playing with C64 in regular basis... I have nowadays 2 64s, 3 floppy drives (2x1541 and 1541-II), whole bunch of joysticks, X1541 cables, Action Replay IV, few tape drives... etc.
