Retirement is much easier on the nervous system
I was once involved in extracting a live mortar round from a guys belly. He and some friends had broken into the 8 Mile Road National Guard Armory to steal 'goodies' and it went bad. Some dope managed to set one off on the way out and it somehow its warhead didn't detonate. He ended up in a tent in our ER parking lot with a portable x-ray machine and a crew made up of single volunteers, me included.
