I have something in common with Jeanne Moreau, j'ai la mémoire qui flanche!
Six of us were round a dinner table last night and we were discussing modern literature. To my surprise, wifey and myself were the only ones who had heard of James Michener, whom I consider as one of the best US novelists of the 20th century. I don't know exactly how, the conversation slipped back to the 19th c and, bugger me, none of us could remember the name of Bill Sykes' dog: maddening! (It was Bullseye)
Other than my memory, I have something else in common with Moreau: in our youth, we were good-looking but we are both downright fugly now!
