What does one do when nostalgia to childhood raises its head....?
I had it this weekend...
Unfortunately, the delay between the camera and the pc is too big; it feels like driving a mars rover... (range was very good; 8 meters was no problem!)
I'll try again with this software (windows mobile), but doubt it will make huge difference...

get your old RC car from the attic
wait an eternity for the batteries to charge (my case: 6xC for the car, 4xAA for transmitter)
install this software on a symbian mobile and pc
mount mobile on RC car
connect mobile and pc via bluetooth
