Help me find a story...?

I finally watched Wall-E, and loved it. It reminded me of a story I read a long time ago.

Spoiler alert if you haven't seen Wall-E!


Like Wall-E, the future is filled with fat humans who have obedient robots that do all the work for them, but the main character is a time traveler. After seeing the future he decides to build a "curious robot" which he then sets loose before returning to his own time.



Any ideas?
