US automakers will receive $1.5B USD and parts-makers building EV components will get $500M. The remaining $400M will go to research and infrastructure. Part of the plan is up to a $7,500 tax credit for purchasing a plug-in vehicle (Volt, Provoq, Focus EV etc.) with the exact amount depending on how many Kw in battery capacity it has.
