Hmm... I'm having problems with the vesafb. When I use vga=791 everything looks fine...

but when I'm exiting X the monitor goes out of range????

I'm currently running Redhat 9 with a P650 and the newest 2d drivers.

Are there anyone who have experienced this???

The reason for this problem is that I'm trying to get Bootsplash to work!

Anyone using bootsplash? and P650+newest 2d drivers?

Same thing here, but on my g400

On a G400, why not use matroxfb instead?

The matroxfb code is very buggy. Lots of screen corruption. Sadly, it looks as if vesafb doesn't fare much better with a matrox card.
