    A few Linux questions

Okay, I'm a total linux newbie, just got suse 9.1 which works fine, but I have some questions about a few things I'm too busy/lazy to find out myself at the moment:

    1. Audio player with a winamp 5 like media library for linux

    2. My canon s750 printer works, but I had to tell linux it is a s630, so it doesnt work perfect. Are there any free drivers for it?

    3. Can I install the matrox G400 drivers by just copying them into the folder where the suse driver files are?

    1. Haven't seen Winamp 5, so dunno.

    2. Try using it as a BJC-8200. Info from here.

Edit: Oops, I thought you'd said something else instead of s750. But try it anyway.

    3. If you don't need dualhead or DVI or TV-out from your G400, the Matrox drivers give you nothing over the free drivers (which Suse should have already). If you do need any of those, try copying the mga_hal_drv.o (or whatever it's called) to wherever mga_drv.o is (probably /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/) - if that still doesn't help, post back and we'll see what we can do.
