    Mystique 220 and DirextX7

I have a RRS attached to a Mystique 220 using Powerdesk 4.12.013. Today I installed DirectX 7 in my normal partition (not my video partition) and found that when the PC rebooted I got a Powerdisk diagnostics error message.

Error 22: Waring : Old version of DirectX installed... blah blah.

The properties area says Microsofte DirectX version unknown.

Has any one else struck this problem. As I don't use my PC for games and I still have DirextX 6.1 in my video partition it dosen't worry me too much.

    Paulw.

PS I can't install DirectX 6.1 again . It gives an install error mesage and quits.

    HI,
for a start you should be using powerdesk V4.31 when using with a RRS. Anyway, re run the matrox diagnostics and remove the tick from check directx. Matrox Powerdesk V4.x cannot detect the version of directx after v6.x

at worst, remove it from teh registry under the RUN folder, or in startup in MSCONFIG. But only remove teh diagnostic program
