    Directx 7.0

Has anyone problems with Directx 7.0. Powerdesk reports that this is an old version of Directx and it creating problems with Ulead video capture.

    For info I am using

    Millenium II with rainbow runner

    version 431 power desk

    Amibios motherboard (Packard Bell UK)

    Pentium at 200

(I've had a lot of problems installing the original drivers, but was working OK up to installing directx 7.0)

The people I know who've tried DirectX 7.0 say it's a piece of junk. Sounds like Micro$oft still has some bugs to work out of it.

Thanks, at least I know it's not the card(?) this time.

Anyone know how to downgrade to 6.1?

Fortunatly I only put DirectX 7 in my regular partition and not in my video partition. I have not found a way to install DirectX6 again. I suspect that it will be a registry hack and file clean out. I guess Micro$oft does not want folks to go back to earlier versions of software... otherwize format c:/s.
