Textmode?

I tried to update my BIOS (G400 Marvel) to output textmodes to the TV-out as well as the monitor, but when enabled my monitor flickers in text-mode (and shows 800x600?!). My TV has the normal text-mode... how do I get a normal picture on the monitor at the same time?

Isn't there any newsgroups (usenet) for matrox users? Cause I like usenet better that web-forums...
