MPEG-4 V3 Playback - Problem, Still!

Hi,

I have the same problems you guys have... I think it has to do with the Media Tools that use V3 codec...

My solution is the older version of Media On Demand Producer which has MPEG 4 V1&V2. It produces no error msgs unlike the new version.

If you would like this version of MODP... I can e-mail it... or maybe find some web space and post it.

Actually if someone has some web space available to post them, I'd be glad to email them the 2 neccesary files. (mpg4ds32.ax and mpg4c32.dll)
I still have the older versions that allow .avis with the MPEG4v3 codec

Sure, email the files to me and I will post them on my webpage. So, to install the fix I simply replace the two files? (I have the latest ms media-tools (4.1 I think) and mplayer (6.4) installed currently...

Grepman: I just emailed you the two needed files. As for installing them, just copy them to c:\windows\system (for win9x) or c:\winnt\system32 (for winnt) after you've installed the latest version of Media Player, and you should be able to view and encode MPEG4v3 .avis without problem. Please let me know if it doesn't work.
