Dualhead switches with Preview?

Does anyone know this problem:

Everytime when i want to preview my stuf in Ulead MsPro 5.2, with my Marvel G400, it takes a few seconds for the dualhead to switch to my second monitor. After viewing, dualhead switches off. So when again previewing i must wait again. Solution ? Or is this normal.
I've tried this also with premiere 4.2, and the same problem.
Avid Cinema with was bundled with the card works good.

I think you'll find that this is due to the time that it takes the codec to engage. It's been documented under the Tips & Tricks section of the site.

As far as Ulead is concerned, you can either try the ".ini" changes detailed over there, or just double click a track to bring up a scratchpad and minimise it.
