b&w output mpeg after encoding

I have grabbed a few minutes and i'm getting very few dropped
frames. however, when i do encoding with lsx or panasonic encoder,
sometimes I get black and white parts of the movie. Maybe it is caused
by those dropped frames od i don't have something set up correctly in
the encoder.
If you experienced such problem, please let me know the solution.

I have the same matter too :
After two minutes encoding with dvmpeg or LSX, the image turn in black and white.
I don'y know how to change it.

If someone know, please help.

Finally there's nothing with time.
Image goes from color to B&W, then from B&W to color and from color to B&W, and I don't know why.
I tried with LSX (matrox ed), DVmpeg and Xing Encoder.
My settings are 352 x 288, 24 bits, 37424 trames, 24.998 trames/sec, 1339 Ko/sec, RRIcm.
My video input is PAL.

see my post 'Drivers' with the thumbs down thing. This is a *known* bug in one of the matrox DLL files, they've known about it for about 2 months now. Fixed yet? NO.

Get on the horn, call Matrox and complain. You know for a fact that I will be doing that tomorrow..

Until the problem is fixed, try using a different MPEG driver. It has fixed the problem for me. Here is a link to one of them.

Hi ppl;

I had this porb with my RR-G too; the morgan solution is a possibility; but I wasn't too pleased with the video quality. You could try it out; but if you're not happy with the result you could try the PICVIDEO solution, I'm quit happy with it.
PICVIDEO is just anther MJPEG CODEC; it can replace the bad matrox codec's until they worked out a solution.
