Can't get AC3 output from SBLive.

I have A G400 and a SBLive Player 1024. I just bought Creative DTT2550, tihnking I could play AC3 sound via AC3 spdif out. I 'm trying to use Matrox DVD palyer. I used DVD genie so select the SPDIF out option, but nothing appened. I tried different setting, but nothing. The digital cable works with normal sound.
Why?

Just for a quick solution (until someone with your setup can help), my experience with the SBLive is that it doesn't provide support for DVD digital out, unless (maybe) it is specifically connected to the card on the inside.

If there's a separate digital out, that's what you need to connect to.
