Definately there are issues. read thru this forum and you'll see just how many people (myself included) are unsatisfied with their purchase, having to resort to software codecs to encode properly (and that sucks). This is due to a known driver issue that Matrox has been sitting on their asses about for over 2 months now.

Definately think twice before purchasing the RR-G or, for that matter, any Matrox card. Should you choose not to heed this advice and take your chances, make sure you have a power supply unit that can give you at least 0.5 Amps at -5 and -12V.

Although there are some minor issue, those will be fixed in the soon to be released new drivers.

As far as the PSU issue goes, it is applicable if you have fallen for an Abit board, then you need to fix the problems of the motherboard with a PSU that supplies higher Amps - no problems here with an Asus or Soyo.

Will the updated drivers fix the problem I'm having with Overlay? The current drivers don't support WebTV under 98.

I would say lay off on the RR-G until you see that the new drivers are out and working correctly. Soon, has been the word about these drivers for 3 months, do you want to wait three months for your product to work?

I have the same card as you, plus a RRG. I had problems capturing initially, but dropping the resolution to 800x600 when I capture seems to have sorted it out. It's annoying, but it's still a very good combo IMO.
