    Ripple editing in MSP5?

Does anyone know why the Ripple editing icon in the MSP 5.2 VE is dimmed?
Apparently there must be have been problems with the function, cause Ulead states that the ripple function is improved in the just releasede MSP 6.0.

it's probably because the VE version is a 'lite' programme, not the full monty!

The VE version's ripple edit is disabled,
      as far as I know.

However, the full version of 5.2's ripple
edit really did need to be improved because
it only applied to a single track at a time.

Version 6 has fixed ripple editing.

Ripple editing in 5.2 is that which is sqeezed out and pinched off.

How Ripple editing feature got its name:

5.2 ripple editing has the same effect on the timeline as one who drinks a whole bottle of ripple and edits your project.
