    NT AVI Filesize?

Someone I have been assuming is more knowledgeable than I regarding Windows NT 4 told me there is no AVI filesize limit in NT. True or BS?

The AVI file format itself is limited to 2gig whether it's in NT or Win9x.

    Cheers,

CAblerat: NTFS supports larger files than 2 gig, like the databasefile u were talking about. But AVI is set to 1 og 2 gig per fil in the AVI spec.

See the info on Avery Lee's website:

Hopefully, if OpenDML is supported in MSP6 and future releases of other editing programs, we will see an end to 2GB avi limits at least under NT. Right now VirtualDub provides the capability to capture >2GB avi under NT, but you are pretty limited with what you can do with it after that.
