How to make recompress possible?

Yeap, i'm a newbie but need help anyway
When i try to capture i don't have to option to choose recompress the video source. Do i need to install something to get it to work?

Maybe if you gave us some clues on what rig you are using and the particular difficulties you are having we could help out.

I'll assume you're using an RR-G or the Marvel. Try using a different capture program, such as the one that comes with Ulead Media Studio Pro, AVI_IO, or anything that access the VidCap driver.

Select video format, choose RGB (16 or 24-bit). From there, you should be able to choose recompression options (such as the enigmatic MPEG-4). Be warned that you need a good processor to do this live.
