What causes the pausing b4 play/scrub ?

Hey,

Just curious, what exactly causes the annoying pause before playing, scrubbing ??

On my system it's about 5-6 seconds long, other people on this forum have stated about 10 seconds!

Can nothing be done to stop it ?

One other thing, sometimes the overlay gets stuck and wont go away in monitor window, and if i flip back to windows or another program it's still there, then sometimes it does.

It's opening the codec. Leave the preview window open and it won't do this.

As for the overlay getting stuck I haven't had this happen so....

What Doc said. I think he also said in the past (and it works for me) a good way to keep the codec open is to open a clip in the 'scratch pad' function and then just drag the window out of sight.

Ahh ok,

Well am i right in thinking this is a hardware 'thing' (nearly said problem there hehe) else it would have been resolved at some point in the last few driver updates ?

Also, do the RT2000 suffer from any niggling things like this ?
