Avid and QuickTime 4, cannot coexist?

Had been using MSP6 on my Marvel G400 and wanted to drop back to Avid. It won't load, stating that it will not work with QT4. Does anyone have a way for me to use both programs?

    TIA

Has anyone got Avid installed and Quicktime 4. It ships with 3, but MSP 6 installed 4. Avid says it will not work with 4...

I use AVID and I think I remember last Summer I upgraded to QT4 and had some problems. Don't remember if AVID wouldn't work but QT4 sure fouled up some other things on my system. It reassociated all my files and I couldn't play AVI's at all. Suggestion is if you don't have to have QT4, uninstall it and drop back to 3.0.

I have had a lot of problems with the quicktime stuff hosing systems all the way back to version 2. =( It sure gets used a lot for somthing that really seems to be frustrating. I think it is a plot that Apple uses to get back at us. =)

The Avid Cinema Site says: "Supports Quicktime 3.02 only at this time". This sounds for me, that there will come a Support for Quicktime 4. But when? Most of the other Avidcinema Products already support Quicktime 4. So maybe we all should write Mails to Avid to make a support for Quicktime 4 with the Marvel Version finally, too.
