Anyway to "de-interlace" mjpeg captures before or during transfer to mpeg?

mjpeg captures 7x4 playback fine in native mode but have all those jaggies during horizontal motion when coverted to mpeg. Is there a better way to do this. I'm using Ulead VideoStudio 4.0.

I guess what you're looking for is a program that not only deals with the Matrox Vidcap driver, but processes the capture from field order B to a de-interlaced frame sequence.

Maybe virtual dub 1.3? That program has so much neat stuff, maybe there's something in there.

You'd probably need some serious computing power to manage any kind of frame size and rate, I know it takes long enough to process with NLE a field-frame de-interlacing operation.

Hulk: No problem at all. And I definatly agree that Virtualdub is awesome. (which is why I've been giving priority to writing my video filters for it first)
