    Any thoughts on WMV8?

The title says it all. I am reencoding alot of captured video from MPEG2 to WMV. At 480x360, 1 Mbit, it encodes at about 2-4 times the length of the clip on an TB1000 512MB PC133 Win2k using Microsoft's WM Encoder. Any thoughts, or experiences with WMV8?

I use WMV8 all the time, in fact all my videos and others posted on the Matrox RT2000 theater are encoded with WMV8.

Now this site has specific instructions on how to use it properly, so I suggest you go here to find out all you need to create a clip..

Click on "Submit your videos" for more info. oh and don't forget to check out some of our clips, while you're at it

    Cheers,
    Elie
