    MACROVISION

    I have a G400 DH and I'd like to put a DVD on a tape... but is there a software/cheat to disable macrovision ?
    I know it for marvels but not for 'basic' G400...

    I found a way to do what you're wanting.

    First, use DeCSS or DodsRip or VobDec to copy the movie on your HD (need free 4-8Gig).
    Always copy the files on C:\VIDEO_TS (or any other letter). This is because the DVD player won't run with another directory.

    Secondly, use DeMacro to strip the Macrovision code from the files. That's it.
    Now Play the movie from the HD. Enjoy

      OR, for a more permanent and faster solution;

      Go to the VideoGuys webstore and order the SIMA SCC Color Corrector and COPYGUARD ELIMINATOR. $129 USD.

      Hundreds of products at affordable prices. Call the Videoguys tech experts for help finding the right products to create a live production and streaming solution for your business, school or house of worship. If you're producing 4K, 8K or UHD content we have the hardware, software and video storage solutions you need.

      This gadget removes both level 1 and level 2 DVD protection. It's also a color & signal enhancer that can also restore synch and colorburst.

        Well, if it doesn't exist I think I'll buy an Hollywood+ and disable macrovision for this...

        I've already seen that 'Sun' was doing that soft to disable macrovision...
