    G400 Marvel and MS Media Encoder no go

    I have tools 2.04 and driver 5.39 and cannot get MS Encoder (7.01) to work.

    There is no preview and it won't capture (though you can of course convert an avi file)

    This problem is documented over at Snapstream.

    It appears to be a VidCap problem.

    Anyone found a work around?

      It is a vfw/wmd issue and there is apparently no fix for it. An older version may work, but I haven't found one yet. Luckily re-encoding is fast so it is not so bad.

          That's right. WM7 is about as VfW compatable as NetMeeting is, which isn't very.
